We went to the Peaks of Otter State Park during Labor day weekend and camped with the Malone family. It was a lot of fun. Our camp site was awesome, thanks to Chris for picking out the prefect spot. The kids loved playing in the forest and finding caterpillars and fishing at the near by lake. We enjoyed hot dogs and marshmallows over the camp fire. We hit our tent and got the kids settled in their sleeping bags just before a huge rain storm hit. But it made for a nice refreshing cool night. We can't wait for another family camping trip. Fall is definitely camping season here in Virginia.
With the darkness disguising his activity, Zachery was easily able to sneak a candy bar off the table while mommy was busy making smores for the other kids. I think he enjoyed his treat.
The Malone's were in charge of breakfast in the morning and they brought eggs to warm our bellies. We brought the camp stove but neither one of us thought about bringing a frying pan. Oops! Luckily, we had a small mesh kit and we were able to cook one breakfast at a time.
It was a fun experience.

That looks like fun. We went camping this weekend too but our pictures are not as beautiful as yours. What a pretty area!
Zachary sure likes his sweets doesn't he? I love the picture with him holding the whole big chocolate bar! :)
