When it snowed or there was a prediction of snow, we were out of school. In February we were out of School for a week and a half. During that time we had our own school. RJ LOVES to play school!!! He LOVES to learn! On this particular day I wrote words on a bunch of sticky notes. I gave RJ a notebook and each page had a vowel written at the top. The page was dived into two columns, one side for the short vowel sound and the other for the long vowel sound. His job was to identify the vowel sound in each word and then write the word in his notebook under the correct column. After which he handed to word to Savannah.Savannah is working on identify her letters. Savannah's job was to find the first letter in the word and place it under the correct letter on the ABC border that hangs in our office room. Both kids kept busy with this activity for about it an hour, it was great!
The largest baptist church in town has a wonderful indoor playground. It serves as their elementary school's playground but is also opened to the public. The kids love it and it has many bible themed play areas, like Noah's ark and Jonah and the Whale. It is a really cute fun place to play on cold snowy days.
