Our last week in California

So we spent two weeks in California while Jared was on a business trip in Belgium. Here are some photos of our second week in CA. Warning: This is a long one!

Sunday:
Since we were supposed to come for Easter and got sick instead, my mom put off dying eggs and having an egg hunt. So Sunday after church we had an after easter celebration.
Dying Easter Eggs with Uncle Matt and Uncle Chris while Savannah took a nap.
Looking out the window at all the eggs the Easter Bunny left. RJ was so excited and so was Savannah. As soon as she saw the Easter basket she knew exactly what was ahead.

Monday:
After the boys got out of school we went on a factory tour of the Jelly Belly Factor. I have been on this tour so many times but this was the best tour I have seen. Every station was full and operating. So if you are every in Fairfield, CA try going to the Factory on a Monday.

Tuesday:
We went to the Bay Area Discovery Museum. If you are every in San Fransisco with young kids this is the place to go. It is however a little pricey, as with everything else in the City. But it is worth it. We took RJ when he was almost two and he loved it then and both kids loved it now.
As you can see it was a wonderful clear day in the city.

With Grandma Bartley on the fishing boat

They have a great train play set set up. Savannah enjoyed it.
With Grandma learning about fish and boats swimming against the current
Playing with a shark puppet

There is a large out door play ground that the kids very much enjoyed. Here is a sunken ship sand box with all kinds of treasures in it.

Kissing the frogs again. She kissed every single one of them.

The art room is very fun. Both kids loved painting on the windows.

These are water beds that young kids can play on.
Another kissing photo. This was staged so I could get a photo. But she seriously just went up to the frog puppet and gave it a kiss. We tried a duck puppet but it didn't receive a kiss. She is definitely a little princess. Hopefully her prince won't be found for a long time.

Tuesday night I took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese's and visited with two friends from High School, Meghan & Gina, and Gina's little girl. RJ wanted nothing more then to see Chuck in person. He got his wish, so did a few little Mexican boys that won't get out of the picture.
Wednesday:
After the boys got out of school we went to my Grandparents house for a little swim. The kids love the pool. Jared returned home from Belgium late that night bearing gifts. More chocolate, toys for RJ, and this fairy Princess outfit for Savannah. She loved it!

Thursday:
We had lunch at In-N-Out, very yummy and then over to my Grandparents again for a swim. Jared also picked up a set of golf clubs from them. He is going to take up golf this summer. We went to the huge Cordelia garage sale on Saturday where he found a brand new gold bag for $5. The Cordelia Garage sale are awesome, the entire neighbor only has garage sales that one weekend and you can find all kinds of stuff there. We found some great furniture at great prices but no way to get them home.

Friday:
Jared's mom took the day off and Lisa came down from Sacramento and we all went over to Sonoma to Train Town. Another fun place.
They have all these miniature trains and give a 20 min. train ride through a little miniature train and country side. It was a lot of fun.

Grandma Pearce and RJ
I don't know what we are all looking at, it seems like only Lisa has a clue that a camera is being pointed in our direction. Makale and Savannah shared a seat on the train. The train stopped at a little town and petting zoo area. I guess RJ thought it was pretty cool. The kids in the school room.
Grandma Pearce and her grandkids. After the train ride RJ rode this fun Airplane and then everyone rode on the carousel. Daddy and Savannah sitting on stop an old train car. After Train Town we had dinner with Jared's Grandma. This is a photo of Jared with his Grandma Buckland and his brother Jeremy.

It sounded like you had a lot of fun! I've only been to San Francisco once, but I loved it. It's fun to see pictures of your "home". I've heard you tell me about it so many times, now I can visualize it! I'm glad RJ and Savannah got to visit with your families. Now back to real life, huh?
