Saturday we went to the Annual Youth Jam on the Greenbelt. The kids had a lot of fun and the best part of it all is all the activities are free. I gave the camera to Jared since I had taken all the pictures at Bear Lake and were in none of them I decided that is was Jared's turn to be the photographer so I could at least be in a few pics. Here is a look of the fun we had:
Savannah really went to town with the finger painting. Her $3 Walmart shirt is now ruined, glad I didn't have her in anything else. After this activity we got a little smarter and put their aprons on them. Why I didn't put it on before, I really don't know.
(Side note: You may notice the cut on Savannah's nose. It is a pretty bad one. Friday she was running through the kitchen, I could see her through the corner of my eye and she kept on running, not even stopping or slowing down, she ran head on into the little computer desk we had converted into a sewing machine table. Not sure what she was really thinking at the time. But the table was very unforgiving and cut a good chunk into the side of her nose, it bleed for hours. She soaked through three band aids before it stopped. Now the challenge is to get her to not pick at it.)

The kids were trying to match numbers on the bottom of the ducks to win a prize. Savannah matched two numbers and got a blow up princess wand (which she popped). RJ got a pencil for trying. He still really liked the pencil and was glad to get something.
Making Football stools. RJ really wanted to be a builder and loved this project. He believes he has hammering and screwing down and really wants to try sawing. Unfortunately, his mom isn't prepared for him tackling that task.
Afterwards we took the kids to Baskin Robbins for a treat. This is a photo of RJ laughing at Savannah who was finishing every last drop of all our ice creams. She was very comically, and I know our laughing just provoked her more.
They were both so tucker out at the end.

That looked like SO much fun!! Jealous. It's good to know we're not the only family that goes to Home Depot for the projects. I think you're the only other family I know of that goes. Eva goes with her grandpa every month.
